MEMORIAL

Events

Past lives awaiting their Story to be told.

Fallen Heroes, Accomplished Ancestors and Community Leaders are examples of the many people who, during their lives, contributed significantly towards improving the lives of others and shaping our world as we know it today. Their stories deserve to be told.

It is usually the lesser-known historical figures whose stories were buried with them until someone, somewhere stumbles upon some archives or authorises the research into their accomplishments. This could be a blood relative, an individual historian, the Committee of an Association, a local Council or indeed the Government.

For instance, in 2014, the British Government launched an initiative for commemorative paving stones to be sited at places that had resonance with each recipient of the Victoria Cross. Unveiling ceremonies soon followed across the country and each ceremony was often accompanied by a reception. This presented the perfect occasion for the recipient's Life Story to be displayed in the form of an exhibition (see
Display Tributes) that attendees could peruse at their leisure.

RECOMMENDATIONS

If you wish to pay tribute in a similar way to a hero of the past, we recommend you contact us with as much prior notice as possible, for, more often than not, Council approval may be required and this may take extra time to follow all of the correct channels.

Think also of requesting a PDF copy of the exhibition to share with attendees post-event or perhaps as an educational resource for the local schools to enhance the pupils' appreciation of their local heritage.

Another service we can provide is to create a Web Tribute, ie. a website dedicated to a special person whose Life Story and achievements would be of public or academic interest.

This OCCASION would suit these TRIBUTES and these OPTIONS
